How To Grow Endless Onion Supply Right On Your Windowsill

Whether you stay in an apartment building or you have very little space for growing your favorite vegetables, a new method for growing onion will help you get an endless onion supply. It’s about growing onions vertically using plastic bottles or cans.

Onions grown in plastic bottles can be kept on the balcony or on the windowsill (or in any small space that has access to natural light).

You need:

– half a gallon plastic bottle or even bigger – 1 gallon cans are preferred for a better harvest
– fertile garden soil
– scissors
– onion bulbs

Make large enough holes (round, like in the picture) in the plastic bottle, but making sure they are not too big (so the onions can’t “escape” the soil inside the bottle).

Fill the bottle with soil and place the onion bulbs facing outward the holes.

Finally, water the onions – this process is repeated every 2 days or as often as needed. Place the onion “pot” on the windowsill or in a space that has access to natural light.

You will see that soon you’ll have fresh onions, grown in the smallest possible space!
